They post certain side effects, but the good thing is the side effects are minimal. And the body adapts to the changes, and they heal independently. One of the most common side effects is irregular periods. If females start taking oral contraceptive pills, they may suffer from irregular periods, but not all females will have irregular periods. In addition, females may have mood swings, tenderness, pain in the breast, and headaches. But after their body gets habitual to the medicine, the side effects settle on their own. Hence, one must consult their doctor if you have any side effects. 

The doctor will analyze the situation, and they’ll tell you how safe the contraceptive pill is for your body. And also, they will tell you if you can continue them or not. Another common myth about contraceptive pills is that they lead to being overweight. However, according to recent studies, no such report suggests weight gain by consuming contraceptive birth control pills. During the start females may have irregular periods but as soon the body is habitual , menstrual cycles normalise.

Who is not such a likely candidate for birth control pills? | 

Females with a diagnosis of gallbladder stones should not take contraceptive pills. Also, doctors avoid their use after the age of 40.  Females with depression or Diabetes also must abstain themselves from the consumption of contraceptive pills. Females who have migraines also should avoid the consumption of birth control pills. One must strictly avoid smoking especially for females above 40, because it increases the chances of the formation of blood clots. Overall contraceptive pills are very much effective.
